TL;DR
Most love songs fail the same way: they say "you're my everything" and nothing else. The ones that land are specific. They mention the coffee at seven, the porch light, the drive across town, and the person's actual name. The quickest way to write a love song like that and hear it straight away is the love song generator: the Prompt box opens with an R&B recipe for a woman named Maya, and six "Start from a vibe" tiles each play a finished example and copy its exact prompt into the box. Swap in your person and two or three real details, press Generate Music for Free, and about a minute later you have two original love songs. One run costs 10 credits, and new accounts in many countries get 16 free credits on sign-up.

What makes a love song work
There is a famous comedy song that strings together every chord progression and cliché that love songs share, and it is funny because it is true: most of them sound alike. A song that sounds like your love has a few things in common, and each one is a phrase you can put in a prompt:
- Small, real details. Making coffee at seven, reading on the couch says more than any "forever". Pick two or three moments only the two of you would recognise.
- Their name. Her name in the chorus turns a song into a song for someone. Spell an unusual name the way it is said.
- One feeling, not all of them. Devoted, playful, longing, grateful, bittersweet. A song that picks one mood hits harder than one that tries to cover the whole relationship.
- A voice that fits the moment. Warm male vocal with silky falsetto for a late-night R&B song, soft female vocal for an acoustic one, male and female vocals trading verses for a duet.
- A sound that fits the couple. R&B, acoustic, country, pop, bachata, indie folk. Choose the music you actually listen to together.
- A setting. Late night, the kitchen, the porch light she always leaves on, two windows, different skies. A place gives the song a picture.
The preset on the page puts it in one line: A smooth R&B love song for a woman named Maya, warm male vocal with silky falsetto, slow groove, electric piano, soft bass and finger snaps, late night and devoted, her name in the chorus. Change the name and add one detail, and you already have a working love song prompt.
Step by step with the love song generator
- Open the love song generator. It is the same studio as the main AI music generator, set up for romantic songs. The Prompt tab is selected, the box holds the Maya R&B recipe, and Instrumental is off, so the song comes back sung.
- Look over the form. Under the box are chips for your library, + Lyrics, a reference Image, Video and Audio, and Instrumental. Below sit an Inspiration row of genre chips, Number of Songs to Generate (2 by default) and the Public switch. If you would rather keep the song private until you give it, switch Public off.

- Play a vibe before you spend anything. Tap a tile under Start from a vibe. One tap plays that tile's example in the player bar and copies its prompt into the Prompt box. Below, we tapped Acoustic: the tile shows a pause icon, the Prompt box now holds the recipe about small everyday moments, and the player bar plays "Coffee at Seven", 3:48 long.

- Browse all six examples. Further down, the Love Song Generator Examples section lists every track with its length and tags, and each card is also a preset in the studio above.

- Open an example to read the lyrics. Each track has its own page, for example Coffee at Seven, with the cover, a play button, Share, its tags and the full lyrics. It is a good lesson in specific writing: "You're up before the kettle sings, at seven, measuring coffee slow", and a chorus that says "No grand words, no perfect scene".

- Press Generate Music for Free. Logged out, the button asks you to sign up first. A run takes about a minute and returns two songs, new music in the style of the prompt rather than copies of the example.
How to write a love song prompt of your own
The presets give you a polished track in one tap. To write one that is clearly about your person, add your details and change one thing per run.
- Lead with the style and who it is for. A smooth R&B love song for a woman named Maya, a country love song for my husband Jake, a pop love song for my boyfriend.
- Add two or three real moments. The kitchen dance, the first apartment, the joke nobody else gets. Concrete beats clever every time.
- Choose one mood. Late night and devoted, honest and tender, big feel-good chorus, hopeful and bittersweet.
- Pick the voice. Do you want it to sound like you singing to them? Choose the voice to match: warm baritone male vocal, bright female vocal, or a duet.
- Name the instruments. Fingerpicked guitar and light brushes, pedal steel and fiddle, requinto guitar, bongos and guira.
- Ask for the name in the chorus. It is the line they will remember.
If you have already written the words, a poem or a letter, paste them into the Own Lyrics tab (up to 5,000 characters) and describe only the music. That way the song says exactly what you meant.
Six love song styles with proven prompts
These are the six tiles on the love song generator, with the exact prompt each one fills in. Every example was generated on v6 from that prompt, so you can hear each love song before you write your own.
| Vibe | What it is | Prompt |
|---|---|---|
| R&B | Late-night falsetto, 3:52 example | A smooth R&B love song for a woman named Maya, warm male vocal with silky falsetto, slow groove, electric piano, soft bass and finger snaps, late night and devoted, her name in the chorus |
| Acoustic | Everyday moments, 3:48 example | A warm acoustic love song about the small everyday moments, making coffee at seven, reading on the couch, soft female vocal, fingerpicked guitar and light brushes, honest and tender |
| Country | Coming home, 3:53 example | A heartfelt country love song about coming home to the porch light she always leaves on, warm baritone male vocal, acoustic guitar, pedal steel and fiddle, small-town and loyal |
| Pop | Feel-good drive, 3:12 example | An upbeat pop love song about driving across the city to see him and every light turning green, bright female vocal, punchy drums, shimmering guitars, big feel-good chorus |
| Bachata | Spanish, kitchen dance, 3:38 example | A romantic bachata love song in Spanish about dancing in the kitchen, tender male vocal, requinto guitar, bongos and guira, warm and intimate |
| Duet | Long-distance indie folk, 3:24 example | A long-distance indie folk love duet, male and female vocals trading verses and harmonizing on the chorus, acoustic guitars, banjo and soft piano, hopeful and bittersweet |
Two extra recipes of our own, untested, if you want to go beyond the six:
- Soul proposal (untested): a classic soul love song building to a proposal, warm male vocal, horns, Hammond organ and a gospel choir on the last chorus, asking Jess to marry him in the final line
- Bedroom pop crush (untested): a dreamy bedroom pop love song about a crush you have not told yet, soft breathy female vocal, lo-fi drums and warm synths, shy and hopeful

Common love song mistakes
- Only clichés. "Forever", "my everything", "you complete me". Keep one if you love it, but anchor it with a real detail.
- No name. Without a name the song could be for anyone. Add it, and spell it the way it sounds.
- Every feeling at once. Gratitude, passion, apology and a proposal in one song is a lot. Choose the one that matters most right now.
- The wrong genre for the couple. A heavy EDM track for someone who lives on acoustic folk will miss. Choose their music, not the trendiest.
- Asking it to copy a famous love song. The generator writes new music, not copies. Describe the feel instead: slow nineties R&B, wedding-style acoustic ballad.
- Judging from one take. Each run returns two songs. Listen to both; often the second one is the keeper.
Choosing a model
The model picker sits at the top right of the form.
- v6 Mini is the free tier, described as "Fast drafts, high volume". It is a good place to try styles and details.
- v6 is "Most powerful, for any song". All six example tracks were made on v6, with richer vocals and cleaner names. It needs a paid plan.
- v6 Wild is "Best for experimental ideas", also on paid plans, for blends like a bachata love song with a jazz piano.
Every run costs the same 10 credits for two songs, whichever model you pick. Plans and credit packs cover everything after the free sign-up credits.
Giving the song
- Keep it a surprise. Switch Public off before you generate so the song does not appear for anyone else.
- Download and send it. Songs download as MP3 with any plan or credit pack; pricing lists what each one includes. Send the file, or play it at dinner.
- Make it longer. Extend Song adds another verse or a longer ending.
- Fix one line. Replace Section rewrites a single part, for example a verse with a detail that is not quite right.
- Sing it yourself. The vocal remover gives you the instrumental, so you can sing it to them in your own voice.
- Add pictures. The music video generator turns the song into a video with your photos.
FAQ
How do you write a love song?
Pick one feeling, two or three real moments and their name, then describe it with a style in the love song generator, for example an acoustic love song about coffee at seven for a woman named Maya, or tap a vibe tile to start from a proven prompt. You get two original songs in about a minute.
How do I write a love song for him?
Use the same recipe and say who it is for: a country love song for my husband Jake about the porch light he leaves on. Choose a voice that sounds like you singing to him.
Can the love song say their name?
Yes. Put the name in the description and ask for it in the chorus. Spell an unusual name the way it is said.
Can it write a love song in Spanish or another language?
Yes. Write the language in the prompt, or ask for a bilingual song. The Bachata example is in Spanish.
Can it write a sad love song or a breakup song?
Yes. Describe the feeling honestly, for example a sad piano ballad about missing someone who moved away, and the song follows the mood.
Can I post the song online?
Songs made on the Standard plan and above, 2,500+ credit packs and Team plans carry a commercial licence. Songs made with sign-up credits, on the Starter plan or with a Mini credit pack are for personal use only.
Final take
Learning how to write a love song mostly comes down to details: their name, one feeling, and two or three moments that could only be yours. Start from a vibe on the love song generator, swap in your person and your story, and change one detail per run until the love song sounds like the two of you.
