How do I take the test?

Press start, sing a comfortable note and slide down until your voice gives out, then slide up as high as it goes without straining. Hold each end for a second so it registers. Reset and repeat once you are warmed up — the second try is usually wider.

What do the voice types mean?

Bass, baritone and tenor are the usual male ranges from low to high; contralto, mezzo-soprano and soprano the female ones. The page names the type whose textbook range overlaps yours most. It is a description, not a verdict — plenty of singers sit between two.
