What are ID3 tags?

The metadata inside an MP3 — title, artist, album, year, genre, track number, cover art — that players and phones show instead of the filename. Fixing them fixes how the song appears everywhere.

Will it change the audio?

No. Only the tag block at the front of the file is rewritten; the audio data is copied through untouched, so nothing is re-encoded and nothing is lost.

Can it edit FLAC, M4A or WAV?

Not yet — those formats keep their tags differently. This editor reads and writes ID3v2, which is the MP3 standard.
