How accurate is MP3 to MIDI conversion?

Very good on clean, single-instrument recordings — solo piano, guitar or a monophonic lead usually come through with the right notes and timing. A dense full mix is much harder, because drums, bass, vocals and effects all compete for the same frequencies. If the result looks messy, run the track through a vocal remover or stem splitter first and convert one part at a time.
