A song for Grandma Rose from the whole family

[Verse 1]
Grandma Rose, at six the kitchen wakes
Cinnamon rolls and flour on your sleeves
Christmas Eve comes soft against the glass
While twelve small pairs of feet crowd round your knees

[Chorus]
Grandma Rose, we gather where you are
In matching pajamas, lined up for the picture
Grandma Rose, your laughter holds us close
One more Christmas in the home you make for us

[Verse 2]
You smooth each collar, call us into place
Twelve grandkids trying not to squirm or grin
Then Josh’s paper star from first grade shines
At the highest branch, just where you’ve hung it since

[Chorus]
Grandma Rose, we gather where you are
In matching pajamas, lined up for the picture
Grandma Rose, your laughter holds us close
One more Christmas in the home you make for us

[Bridge]
That crooked star has watched us all grow tall
Its folded edges still remember little hands
And every year, beneath its patient point
We find our way back to the ones who understand

[Final Chorus]
Grandma Rose, we gather where you are
Twelve voices singing, every heart a little nearer
Grandma Rose, the years can change the view
But Christmas keeps its sweetest place with you

[Outro]
Grandma Rose, the rolls are warm again
And we’re all home with you
