TL;DR
Dance pop is a pop song, verse, pre-chorus and big chorus, sitting on a club beat: four-on-the-floor kick, bright synths and a lift into a drop, usually between 110 and 128 BPM. If you want to know how to make dance pop without a DAW and a topliner, open the AI dance pop generator, describe the night, the feeling, the voice and the beat in one sentence, and press Generate. The form opens with a euphoric dance pop anthem prompt already filled in, and six "Start from a vibe" tiles let you hear a finished example of each style before you spend a credit. One run costs 10 credits and returns two songs in about a minute; new accounts get 16 free credits.

What makes dance pop sound like dance pop
Dance pop took the four-on-the-floor pulse of disco and house and put radio pop songwriting on top. It has been a chart staple since the 1980s, and its recipe has stayed remarkably stable. Each ingredient is a phrase you can type into the Prompt box:
- Four on the floor. A kick drum on every beat is the backbone. Four on the floor is understood literally.
- Tempo. Usually 110 to 128 BPM. Tropical styles sit lower, eurodance and club anthems higher. Write the number if it matters: 124 BPM.
- A hook you can sing after one listen. Dance pop lives on its chorus. A catchy chorus, a whistle hook, a catchy vocal chop drop.
- Bright synths. Bright synth hooks, pulsing synth bass, bouncy synth riff. For disco pop, swap synths for a funky bass line and strings.
- The lift. A pre-chorus that builds tension, then a chorus or drop that releases it. A big drop, a shimmering chorus.
- Claps and percussion. Handclaps, crisp claps, clapping beat, and for tropical styles marimba plucks and steel drum accents.
- A strong lead vocal. Powerful female vocal, airy female vocal, cool male vocal, joyful female vocal with group vocals.
- A night-out story. Dance floors, afterparties, summers, the last song before the lights come on. A concrete moment beats a general "let's dance".
Step by step with the AI dance pop generator
- Open the AI dance pop generator. It is the same form as the main AI music generator, set up for dance pop. You can look around and play the examples without an account.

- Read the preset. The Prompt box holds A euphoric dance pop anthem about feeling your heartbeat sync with the bass on a crowded dance floor, powerful female vocal, four on the floor, bright synth hooks and a big drop. Mood, story, voice, beat, sound and the drop, in one sentence. Instrumental Only is off.
- Tap a vibe. Under "Start from a vibe" there are six tiles. One tap plays that tile's example and copies its prompt into the Prompt box. The Dance pop anthem tile holds the same prompt as the preset, so the box stays the same while Electric Heartbeat: Dance Pop Anthem plays in the bar at the bottom. That example was made on v6 from exactly this prompt and runs 3:37.

- Compare the six examples. The examples list shows all six with lengths and tags. Dance pop runs long: every example is over three minutes, and the eurodance track reaches 3:53.

- Open a song page for the lyrics. Every example has its own page. Electric Heartbeat shows the cover, a play button, Share, the tags and the lyrics, checked word for word against the vocal. The chorus opens on the prompt's own idea: "My heartbeat locks with yours tonight."

- Press Generate. Logged out, the button reads "Generate Music for Free"; signing up gives you 16 credits with no card. A run costs 10 credits and returns two songs in about a minute. They are new songs in the style of the prompt, not copies of the example.
- Keep the take with the better chorus. In dance pop the hook decides everything. If neither sticks, change the story or the hook instruction and run again.
Writing a dance pop prompt that works
The Prompt box takes up to 500 characters. The six presets on the page run one sentence each, and they are a good pattern to copy.
- Open with mood and substyle. A euphoric dance pop anthem, a breezy tropical dance pop song, a glamorous disco pop song, a 90s-style eurodance song, a sleek electropop dance song.
- Give it one night-out moment. Begging the DJ for one more song before the lights come on is a whole song in a clause.
- Describe the lead voice. Powerful, airy, confident, cool, joyful. Add group vocals for a crowd feel, or male rap verse for eurodance.
- Name the beat. Four on the floor, bouncy beat, pounding beat, clapping beat.
- Name two or three signature sounds. Bright synth hooks, marimba plucks and steel drum accents, funky bass line and strings, piano house chords.
- Ask for the payoff. A big drop, a whistle hook, a vocal chop drop, a shimmering chorus.
- Put the tempo in numbers if you care. 122 BPM works better than upbeat; the model follows it roughly.
- Have your own lyrics? The Own Lyrics tab takes lyrics up to 5,000 characters, a style box up to 1,000 characters (paste a dance pop prompt there) and a title up to 80. The AI lyrics generator can draft a chorus to start from.

The six dance pop vibes and their prompts
These are the six tiles on the AI dance pop generator. Each prompt is copied verbatim; each example was made on v6 from exactly that prompt.
| Vibe | What it is | Prompt |
|---|---|---|
| Dance pop anthem | Euphoric club anthem with a drop, 3:37 | A euphoric dance pop anthem about feeling your heartbeat sync with the bass on a crowded dance floor, powerful female vocal, four on the floor, bright synth hooks and a big drop |
| Tropical summer | Breezy beach pop with a whistle hook, 3:11 | A breezy tropical dance pop song about rewinding to the best summer ever, airy female vocal, marimba plucks, steel drum accents, bouncy beat and a whistle hook |
| Disco pop | Glamorous strings-and-bass disco, 3:40 | A glamorous disco pop song about a night out in a city of lights, confident female vocal, funky bass line, strings, clapping beat and a shimmering chorus |
| 90s eurodance | Sung hook plus male rap verse, 3:53 | A 90s-style eurodance song about running back to the one you love, soaring female vocal hook, male rap verse, bouncy synth riff and pounding beat |
| Electropop | Cool male vocal with vocal chops, 3:15 | A sleek electropop dance song about the afterparty that never ends, cool male vocal, pulsing synth bass, crisp claps and a catchy vocal chop drop |
| Feel-good piano | Piano house chords and group vocals, 3:34 | A feel-good dance pop song about begging the DJ for one more song before the lights come on, joyful female vocal with group vocals, piano house chords and handclaps |
Two extra recipes of our own, untested:
- A bittersweet dance pop song about dancing alone after a breakup, soft female vocal, four on the floor at 118 BPM, warm synth pads, sidechained chords and a big emotional chorus
- An 80s-style synth dance pop song about a midnight drive to the coast, bright male vocal, gated drums, arpeggiated synths and a sax hook
Common dance pop mistakes
- All beat, no song. If the prompt is only production words, you get a club track with a thin vocal. Include a story and ask for a chorus or hook.
- Tempo too high. Asking for fast can push a song past 130 BPM into EDM territory. Name a number between 110 and 128.
- Too many signature sounds. Steel drums, strings, sax, piano house chords and vocal chops in one song sound like five songs. Pick two or three.
- Mixing substyles by accident. Tropical and eurodance pull in opposite directions. Choose one per run.
- Naming pop stars. Describe the era, the beat and the voice instead. You get an original song in that spirit.
- Judging from one take. Every run gives two songs. Hum both choruses a minute later; the one you remember wins.
Choosing a model
The model picker sits at the top right of the form. v6 Mini is the free tier, labelled "Fast drafts, high volume", good for trying stories and hooks. v6 ("Most powerful, for any song") is the model all six examples were made on, with fuller mixes and cleaner vocals, which matters in a genre this polished. v6 Wild ("Best for experimental ideas") suits odder blends, such as disco with hyperpop. v6 and v6 Wild need a paid plan.
A run costs 10 credits for two songs on any model. Plans and credit packs are on the pricing page.
After the song is made
- Make a longer club version. Extend Song continues a song from any point, for an extra chorus or a longer outro to mix out of.
- Fix one part. Replace Section regenerates one section, such as a weak bridge, and keeps the rest.
- Get the instrumental. The vocal remover splits the song into two stems, vocals and instrumental, for karaoke or your own topline.
- Remake it in another style. Cover Song remakes a song in a new style, for example your dance anthem as a piano ballad.
- Make a video. The AI music video tool turns a song into a video for reels and Shorts.
- Download. Downloads come with a plan; see pricing.

FAQ
Is the AI dance pop generator free?
You can start free. New accounts get 16 credits with no card, and one run costs 10 credits for two songs on v6 Mini. After that, credits come from a plan or a credit pack.
What BPM is dance pop?
Usually 110 to 128 BPM. Tropical styles sit lower, eurodance and club anthems higher. Write the number in the prompt; the model follows it roughly.
Can I get a rap verse in a dance pop song?
Yes. Ask for one, as the 90s eurodance preset does with male rap verse.
Can I make an instrumental version?
Yes. Switch on Instrumental Only before generating, or split a finished song into vocals and instrumental with the vocal remover.
Can I use AI dance pop commercially, on YouTube or Spotify?
Commercial use is included only on the Standard plan and above, 2,500+ credit packs, and Team plans. Free credits, the Starter plan and Mini credit packs are personal use only. Check the pricing page before you release or monetize a song.
How long are the songs?
The six examples run from 3:11 to 3:53. Use Extend Song for a longer club version.
Can I match the song to a track I love?
You can add a reference with the Audio chip: one track between 6 seconds and 30 minutes, and the new song borrows its feel. It costs the same 10 credits as a normal run.
Final take
How to make dance pop with AI comes down to two halves: a pop song with a story and a hook, and a club beat with four-on-the-floor, bright sounds and a lift. Start on the AI dance pop generator, tap the six vibes to hear what each prompt produces, then change the night-out moment and keep the rest. Two songs per run makes it easy to keep the chorus you are still humming an hour later.
