Common R&B mistakes
- Saying "R&B" with no era. 90s R&B, quiet storm and modern trap-R&B are very different records. One decade word fixes that.
- Describing the beat but not the voice. In R&B music the vocal carries the song. If the prompt only lists instruments, the singer comes out generic.
- Genre lists instead of scenes. R&B, soul, pop, hip hop, romantic, sad gives the AI nothing to write about. A single story line does more.
- Tempo too high. Most R&B sits between 60 and 100 BPM. If a take sounds like dance pop, write a slower number or slow jam.
- Too many vocal effects. Autotune, reverb, distortion, whisper, vocoder in one prompt fights itself. Pick one texture; hazy reverb-soaked is enough for alt R&B.
- Expecting the example back. The tile copies the prompt, not the recording. Each run gives two new songs; if both miss in the same way, change one word and run again.
